Setting a beautiful Thanksgiving table doesn’t have to be complicated, or cost a lot of money. I have gathered some beautiful inspiration to get us started, and we’ll break these gorgeous tablescapes down into basic elements that we can all recreate! Following these tips, anyone can create these simple Thanksgiving tablescapes! All you need to start are some basic table staples that are classic, neutral, and will work for any holiday.

1) Dishes- White dishes are always classic pieces.
White dishes go with every color scheme, every holiday, and never go out of style. White dishes can pop against a colored background, or blend in beautifully to a neutral setting. They can be found just about everywhere. Below are some other sets that are great classic choices.

2) Chargers
Chargers anchor the dishes on the table and help set the tone. They can be found at any price level from Dollar Tree to Pottery Barn. Chargers can be made of plastic, wood, woven, metal, or pretty much any material you can think of. I love the way a galvanized or white charger looks on top of a woven charger for a layered look.

3) Table Linens
Table linens also help set the tone of the table and soften the look. And they are a great way to hide an unsightly table! But if you have a beautiful wood table, I suggest showing it off and maybe just adding a table runner.
Be creative and think out of the box when thinking table linens! Drop cloths can be used as table cloths. Scarfs or blanket throws as runners. Simple un-sewn fabric can be used as either! Bookpages, butcher paper, burlap… all make great table runners! Inexpensive patterned tea towels can be used as napkins. You can go all neutral with your linens, or mix and match and have fun with them! This is a great way to add whimsy, if you choose, or keep it simple and elegant. I like look in thrift shops for my table linens. Thrift stores just about always have them, they are affordable, and sometimes super cool and vintage!

4) Accessorize!!!
Finally, the most fun part of all-accessorizing!!! You don’t have to go any further than the grocery store or farmer’s market to create a beautiful table! Greenery is always a fabulous thing to add to a table. It gives it life! It can be real or faux. Add in some pumpkins, mums, fruit, whatever strikes your fancy! Don’t forget to add some light! I love to tuck in fairy lights to my greenery on a table. They just add a little glint and whimsy. And candles are a must on any table! Candles can be right on the table, or elevated at different heights on candle holders, cake stands, or anything to give them varying height. This is another chance to think outside of the box and be creative!

This vintage style tablescape reminds me of my childhood-pure nostalgia!
Pumpkins and pretty dishes set the table in this traditional one!
