Do you want to know one of the simplest ways to up the style of your kitchen or bathroom? It’s adding cabinet hardware!
Cabinet hardware is like the jewelry to a great outfit. It’s the accessory that creates a more finished design. Cabinet hardware adds sparkle and drama to an otherwise plain cabinet door or drawer, giving it a more high-end look!

We’ve been giving our master bathroom a little facelift. It might not look too bad in this picture, but it was awful in person! The cabinets were honey oak; not only out of style, but they were discoloring. (I also stained one side with hair dye, but we won’t talk about that!)
I knew I wanted to paint the cabinets, and pair it with gold-tone hardware. Champagne bronze and brushed gold hardware finishes are trending right now, but they will stand the test of time! You can see the first step to my design process here.
We chose the paint color Duke Gray by Magnolia Home. Although they look like brand new cabinets, they were still a bit drab. I couldn’t wait to add the champagne bronze pulls! There are a lot of hardware manufactures out there, but I went with Amerock! I had the privilege of meeting some of the Amerock team at a blogger’s conference, and was able to see their beautiful products in person.
The depth of Amerock’s Champagne Bronze finish is like no other that I had seen! We went with pulls from the Ville collection. Because our drawer fronts are just panels and not actual drawers, I opted not to add hardware to them…but it sure would have looked stunning! Just adding a simple pull or knob adds so much more drama to a blank cabinet door or drawer. Imagine what an impact adding a piece of hardware to every cabinet would be cumulatively across a whole kitchen!
Amerock has an amazing selection of cabinet hardware on their website! They do all of the work for you by coordinating looks and finishes, and you can even chat online live with an expert! I enjoy their Instagram account because they show how to mix metals, and what finishes look good with paint colors.
Our master bathroom makeover is still in progress, but we are loving the new look! Stay tuned to see it completed!!!
