Your front porch is the first place guests will see when coming to your home. Make sure it is ready for fall with these easy fall front porch ideas!
1) Pumpkins, mums, and baskets
To create this beautiful, but easy, look by my friend Julie for your front porch, just fill some baskets with mums, add a couple of pumpkins, and maybe hang a basket on your door! This is a simple, but beautiful, easy fall front porch idea!
2) Lantern, pumpkins, and mums

One of my all-time favorite bloggers, Thistlewood Farms, made the most of her steps with lanterns, pumkins, and mums. Some of the mums aren’t even potted, yet this still looks beautiful! Don’t over think your fall front porch!
3) Painted door, pumpkins, and mums

My friend Jodie, the other twin of the Design Twins, paints her front door seasonally. Painting your front door is a cheap and easy way to freshen up the look of your front porch. I just use a sample size of paint when I want to re-paint my front door. You can see Jodie’s complete instructions here on how to paint a front door. Jodie has also incorporated pumpkins, mums, and lanterns in her beautiful porch.
4) Real pumpkins, squashes, and gourds

Kristy used real pumpkins, gourds, and squashes mixed in with some faux florals and real mums to create this breath-taking fall front porch. Hang a wreath on your front door, bring out the lanterns, and make a trip to the grocery store for this easy fall front porch idea.
5) String lights, checked pillows, pumpkins, and mums

Why wait until Christmas to hang lights! You probably have an outlet near your front door, so hang up some lights! You could use string lights like the ones pictured, or even a strand of clear Christmas bulbs. Michael added a few checked pillows, and of course some pumpkins and mums to create this easy fall front porch idea!
6) Bring out the yard tools

Last year I was trying to think of a way to add drama to the front of my home without costing money, so I wheeled out our wheel-barrow from the backyard filled it with a hay bail, galvanized bucket, and faux pumpkins. An old rake or shovel would’ve been cute too! Thinking outside the box and using what you already have is great way to decorate your fall front porch!
7) Old ladder, hay bails, and lanterns

Here’s another great way to use what you have! Drag out an old ladder, place some lanterns on it, add a few hay bails and pumpkins. The crate and apple picking baskets are another great element that you may already have, and we filled these with faux flowers from Dollar Tree!
8) Add a DIY element, or two

My creative friend, Lindsey @ladylouloveshome MADE these adorable plaid panels, and they reverse to Christmas plaid!!! She also made these lanterns! The instructions for both are in her highlights on her Instagram account. Adding a DIY element, or two, and you can weather-proof it to use for years to come!
9) Add real plants

If you have a green thumb, incorporate other live plants and flowers (besides mums) into your fall front porch.
